The Liceu Vocal Big Band, conducted by Sergi Vergés is a recently formed ensemble by students from the Liceu Conservatory. This project brings together young talents with a shared passion for Big Band music, with a special focus on repertoire with a solo voice. The Liceu Vocal Big Band explores classics and new adaptations in the genre, with a fresh, innovative sound, highlighting the role of the voice in the Big Band jazz tradition.
The Liceu Jazz – Masterclasses & Concerts concert series is part of the close collaboration that the Fundació Conservatori Liceu has maintained for 14 years with the Barcelona Jazz Festival, with the patronage of the Ferrer Music Foundation.
