“I look for places that are not in the logic of flamenco,” Rosario La Tremendita recently told the journalist Fernando Navarro, from El País. The headline also made it clear that this composer, producer, lyricist, singer and multi-instrumentalist (electric bass, guitar and percussion) has fought against all stereotypes in her career: «I am a woman, flamenca, paya and a lesbian. I have no fear.” She now makes her debut, finally, in our flamenco series De Cajón! to introduce us to her sixth album, Origen ’, which she considers the second part of her previous installment, Tremenda. As its title indicates, an album that goes back to the roots, to the most naked flamenco. “There is no dogma, no doctrine for the great-granddaughter of Enriqueta La Pescaera,” says the album’s presentation text. As a trio, accompanied only by guitar and percussion, let’s immerse ourselves, led by Tremendita, in the origin (Origen ’).
