As part of the celebrations marking the 15th anniversary of the Liceu Jazz – Masterclasses & Concerts series, the Live Room at the Liceu Conservatory is hosting concerts by the large ensembles of the Department of Jazz and Modern Music at the Liceu Conservatory.
On this occasion, the concert will be performed by the Liceu BLAM Collective, a group specialising in modern music, in which the students are led by teachers Pedro Campos and Alex Dee.
The Liceu BLAM Collective – which initially benefited from the artistic and musical guidance of Michael League, founder of the renowned band Snarky Puppy – presents itself as an explosion of musical styles, steeped in influences from Black American music and African-American music in general.
This year, their repertoire centres on music from the late 1970s and early 1980s within the AOR (Adult Oriented Rock) genre, featuring tracks by iconic bands such as Steely Dan, Toto, The Doobie Brothers and Fleetwood Mac, amongst others.

The Liceu Jazz – Masterclasses & Concerts series is celebrating 15 years of keeping jazz alive through education, listening, musical practice and bringing people together.
