The Liceu BLAM Collective is one of the most distinctive ensembles at the Liceu Conservatory. Under the musical and artistic direction of teachers Pedro Campos and Alex Dee, the project brings students together around a programme which, each academic year, explores and pays tribute to different styles and repertoires of modern music.
The ensemble is distinguished by its meticulous selection and curation of repertoire, its special focus on collective vocal work, and its commitment to remaining as faithful as possible to the original arrangements and the interpretative styles characteristic of each genre. With vocals at the heart of the project, the ensemble offers an artistic experience that combines rigour, creativity and ensemble work.
This year, the repertoire centres on music from the late 1970s and early 1980s within the AOR (Adult Oriented Rock) genre, featuring tracks by iconic bands such as Steely Dan, Toto, The Doobie Brothers and Fleetwood Mac, amongst others.

The Liceu Jazz – Masterclasses & Concerts series is celebrating 15 years of keeping jazz alive through education, listening, musical practice and bringing people together. It offers a programme that connects leading figures from the international jazz scene with students, teaching staff and the public.
