Veteran saxophonist Joe Lovano leads this trio, defined by its intense exploration of contemporary jazz possibilities. The trio, formed by pianist Marylin Crispell and drummer Carmen Castaldi, returns to Barcelona with two more albums in tow, always with ECM: Garden of Expression (2021) and Our Daily Bread (2023). Their characteristic style and constant innovation have positioned the Tapestry Trio as a reference formation. The group’s music is characterized by its emotional depth, technical complexity, and ability to weave ethereal sonic narratives.
