Aaron Parks is a jazz pianist known for his innovative approach to music. He gained recognition while playing with trumpeter Terence Blanchard and has since released several albums under his own name. At the age of 18, Parks joined Blanchard’s ensemble and went on to record four albums with him. In addition to Blanchard, Parks has collaborated with various artists, including Christian Scott, Kendrick Scott, and Gretchen Parlato. He was also a member of the James Farm Quartet, which released a self-titled album in 2011. Parks signed with ECM and released the solo piano album «Arborescence» in 2013. His second album for ECM, «Find the Way», was inspired by the music of Alice Coltrane and Shirley Horn and was released in 2017. Throughout his career, Parks has demonstrated a commitment to exploring new musical territories and incorporating elements from various genres into his compositions and improvisations.
