The Liceu Cambra Masterclasses & Concerts has established itself as a symbol of excellence in the world of music and a privileged space for promoting knowledge exchange between internationally renowned musicians and creators. In this tenth edition, the series reaffirms its significance as one of the most prominent initiatives in the musical field, offering students from the Conservatori Liceu an exceptional opportunity to share experiences and learn from top-level masters. Furthermore, it has become an unmissable event for music lovers in Barcelona, with live concerts of extraordinary quality.
The SenArts Wind Quintet will lead this masterclass focused on chamber music.
Born in Barcelona in 2022, it is formed by of Nieves Aliaño (flute), Pau Roca (oboe), Lluís Casanova (clarinet), Carles Chordà Sanz (horn) and Clara Canimas (bassoon).
It has won several prizes in prestigious competitions all over the world, such as the 1st Prize in the BBVA Montserrat Alavedra Competition (2024), the 3rd Prize in the ARD International Music Competition in Munich (2024), the 2nd Prize in the Carl Nielsen International Chamber Music Competition in Copenhagen (2023) and the 2nd Prize, Audience Prize and Xavier Montsalvatge Prize in the Les Corts International Music Competition in Barcelona (2023).
It has taken part in numerous important events, including the opening concert of the “Apertura Festival” in Barcelona, the “Festival Música als Jardins” at the Pau Casals Museum, “Música als Masos” in Olot, the “Angular Cambra Festival” in Sant Cugat, and in prestigious venues such as the Viader Auditorium in Girona, the Prinzregententheater in Munich, the DR Byen Studio 2 of the Danish Broadcasting Corporation, the Queen’s Hall of the Royal Library and the Concert Hall of the Royal Academy of Music in Denmark.
