Liceu Cambra Masterclasses & Concerts is synonymous with great music and musical wisdom shared by the greatest performers and creators. This concert series reaches its eighth edition this year, reaffirming itself as one of the most interesting initiatives of its kind, and, as always expected, a meeting point for the students of the Higher Center of the Liceu Conservatory with the great international masters, and as an appointment for music lovers from Barcelona with the best music.
Edoardo Giachino is a member of the Orquesta Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome and a professor at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia. He has written seven didactic manuals and several pieces of concert music expressly for his students. He has given masterclasses all over the world, such as in Vienna (MUK), Paris (CNSMDP), Geneva (HEM), Losanne (HEMU), Interlochen (Center for the Arts), Indianapolis (PASIC), Seoul (Sejong Cultural Center) or Beijing (National Center for Performing Arts).
Giachino is very active in the field of contemporary music, performing as a soloist and in chamber music ensembles, collaborating with numerous composers and making national and international premieres. In 2015 he founded Takt-Time, a group of eclectic musicians that offers pieces of baroque, romantic, rock, contemporary, folk, urban music, giving life to a new sound experience created from the use of traditional and alternative instruments.
Liceu Cambra – Masterclasses & Concerts series has the patronage of Ferrer-Salat Music Foundation.
