The fourth-year Voice students from the Conservatori Liceu take the stage every year to perform various opera scenes worked on during the Escenes Líriques project. They are accompanied by the Conservatori Liceu Symphony Orchestra and directed by an expert in opera.
On this occasion, they will be under the musical direction of Manel Valdivieso and the stage direction of Anna Ponces, presenting a program dedicated to Baroque opera, known for its intense and defined expression of emotions and the great melodic inspiration of its masters. This is evident in the program selection, which includes some of the most iconic passages from works like L’incoronazione di Poppea by Claudio Monteverdi, Dido and Aeneas by Henry Purcell, Les indes galantes by Jean-Philippe Rameau, and Alcina by George Frideric Handel.
This concert offers students a valuable experience while also becoming a must-see event for opera lovers eager to discover the new talents of this genre who will soon fill stages around the world.
This concert is part of Liceu Cambra Liceu Cambra, a well-established artistic and educational initiative with ten editions held to date.
