The annual Kaimerata proposal returns, conduced by our professor and concertmaster of the Symphony Orchestra of the Gran Teatre del Liceu, Kai Gleusteen, featuring various ensembles made up of professors from the Conservatori Liceu.
This year, it will present four concerts with a unifying theme of French music: a repertoire of great interest consisting of masterpieces by composers such as Maurice Ravel, Claude Debussy, Jean Françaix, Olivier Messiaen, Francis Poulenc, and Gabriel Fauré.
In this first recital, Kai Gleusteen will be joined by clarinetist Darío Mariño, cellist Charles Antoine Archambault, and pianist Catherine Ordronneau. Together, they will present a program highlighted by the Quartet for the End of Time, the extraordinary piece that Messiaen composed while he was a prisoner of war in Görlitz, as well as Poulenc’s delightful 15 Improvisations for piano.
