El «ALLIAGE QUINTETT» és un dels conjunts de saxòfon més creatius i amb èxit a Alemanya i Europa. Les seves característiques inclouen una gran diversitat d’estil i, per tant, la combinació de diferents èpoques i maneres de jugar. Això també es representa en el seu nom: «alliage» és el terme francès per «aliatge», referint-se així al saxòfon que és un aliatge de coure i zinc. En el sentit més ampli, descriu l’ideal musical dels cinc músics formant un tot homogeni i la seva interpretació perfectament ajustada.
