The best Catalan singers have trained themselves in its Singing classes. The Center also has been the driving force of well-known composers and instrumentalists, thanks to a top-level faculty. The award ceremony was on April 20<sup>th<\/sup> at the historic Sant Jordi Hall at the Palau de la Generalitat, chaired by President Artur Mas, the Minister of Culture, Ferran Mascarell and the Government Secretary, Germ\u00e0 Gord\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p><strong><\/div>\n<div class=\"gca-column one-half\"><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3208\" src=\"http:\/\/conser15-cp515.wordpresstemporal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/medalla-ajuntament-bcn_02.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"250\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Golden Medal for Cultural Merit by the Barcelona City Council<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Municipal Council Plenary session of the Barcelona City Council agreed on the 27<sup>th<\/sup> April 2012 to award the Liceu Conservatory with the Golden Medal for its 175<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of valuable task related to teaching, promoting and spreading the music culture all over the country. It was granted on October 10<sup>th<\/sup> at the Sal\u00f3 de Cent by Mayor Xavier Trias, who defined the Liceu Conservatory as &#8220;<em>one of the institutions that has helped Barcelona most to present itself as a cultural capital city<\/em>.&#8221; The Deputy Mayor of Knowledge, Creativity and Innovation of the Barcelona City Hall, Jaume Ciurana, emphasized that &#8220;<em>it has always very linked to the city, to the culture and to the city&#8217;s music [\u2026]<\/em> <em>\u00a0the music of Barcelona and our country would be different if there didn&#8217;t exist the Liceu Conservatory&#8221;. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><\/div>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><div class=\"gca-column one-half first\"><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3209\" src=\"http:\/\/conser15-cp515.wordpresstemporal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/medalla-gran-teatre-liceu_01.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"250\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Golden Medal by the Gran Teatre del Liceu<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Gran Teatre del Liceu Foundation, at the Executive Committee session on January 24<sup>th<\/sup>, 2013 agreed to award the Liceu Conservatory with the Golden Medal. It was in recognition of its excellent educative task in the music world, steadily, for 175 years and its striking and close link with the Gran Teatre del Liceu. The Medal was handed over on April 30<sup>th<\/sup> at the Mirrored Salon. Josep Maria Coronas, president of the Liceu Conservatory, glossed, in an emotive speech, the close and historical correlation and the shared origins between these two institutions.<\/p>\n<p><strong><\/div>\n<div class=\"gca-column one-half\"><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3210\" src=\"http:\/\/conser15-cp515.wordpresstemporal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/mencio-associacio-amics-rambla.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"250\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Special Mention by the Amics de la Rambla Association<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Special Mention was granted on October 16<sup>th<\/sup>, 2012 at the Reials Drassanes in Barcelona on the 175<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of the Liceu Conservatory. \u00a0These awards, granted every year during the Roser Festivities (La Rambla\u2019s main festivities), acknowledge the admiration and dedication of persons, entities, and organizations in favor of La Rambla. \u00a0The ceremony counted on the presence of the President of the Generalitat, Artur Mas, and the city Mayor, Xavier Trias, in addition to a large representation of the cultural world, the restaurant businesses and the commercial sector in Barcelona.<\/p>\n<p><strong><\/div>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"gca-column one-half first\"><p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3207\" src=\"http:\/\/conser15-cp515.wordpresstemporal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/homenatge-cambra-comerc-bcn_03.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"250\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>175 years Homage \u2013 Barcelona Chamber of Commerce<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Homage celebrated on October 23<sup>rd<\/sup>, 2012 during the Chamber Day at the Llotja del Mar, where every year the chamber institution of Barcelona acknowledges and awards the career of the enterprises of Barcelona and its surrounding area celebrating iconic anniversaries. During the ceremony, the Chairperson of the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, Miquel Valls, emphasized the importance of the undertaking. He also stated that all the awarded enterprises were created by &#8220;<em>visionary persons, full of courage or with a lot of faith in its businesses possibilities<\/em>.&#8221; The ceremony closed with the intervention of the Minister of Enterprise and Occupation, Francesc Xavier Mena.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"gca-column one-half\"><p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3211\" src=\"http:\/\/conser15-cp515.wordpresstemporal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/premi-aefe.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"250\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>The European Excellence Award \u2013 <em>European<\/em>\u00a0Development\u00a0<em>Foundation<\/em> AEFE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It was received on October 27<sup>th<\/sup>, 2012, on occasion of its 175 years of contribution to the Universal Value through the music as a cultural hub. <em>The European<\/em>\u00a0Development\u00a0<em>Foundation<\/em> AEFE, sensitive to the arduous task of those institutions and organizations that have worked through the years in favor of the culture and\/or charitable organizations, created the &#8220;European Charity and\/or Cultural Excellence Award&#8221; to publicly acknowledge everyone who daily works in support of the cultural, social and\/or charity values. The AEFE Foundation President, Mr. Jorge Castell\u00e1 de Cot, granted the award.<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"gca-column one-half first\"><p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3207\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservatoriliceu.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/festival-jazz-barcelona-lliurament-medalla-or.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"250\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Gold Medal of the Barcelona Jazz Festival<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Delivery of the <strong>Gold Medal of the Voll-Damm Barcelona International Jazz Festival<\/strong> to the Liceu Conservatory Foundation, just as 10 years of collaboration between both entities are being celebrated, along with the Ferrer-Salat Music Foundation. This Gold Medal has previously been awarded to internationally renowned figures such as Wynton Marsalis, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Chick Corea, or Chucho Vald\u00e9s, among others.<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"gca-column one-half\"><p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3211\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservatoriliceu.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/news_entitats-centenaries-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"250\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Centennial Entity Distinction by the Barcelona City Council<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In an event held at the Sal\u00f3 de Cent on February 8, 2023, the Barcelona City Council presented the <strong>Centennial Entity Distinction<\/strong> to the Liceu Conservatory Foundation. The event recognized the activities of various long-standing Barcelona entities and institutions.
