On December 14, the Argentine musician Omar Cyrulnik visited the Superior Center of the Liceu Conservatory and gave master classes for guitar students.
Omar Cyrulnik has developed an extensive career that has led him to appear in recitals as a soloist, accompanied by an orchestra, or in chamber ensembles in various countries around the world. He also has an intense pedagogical activity and artistic project management. He has been Director of the Experimentation Center of the Teatro Colón, Advisor to the General Directorate of Artistic Education of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires, Academic Secretary of the Department of Musical Arts of the National University of the Arts and Director of the DIMA Academy of Arezzo. He is currently Professor of the Guitar and Chamber Music Chairs in the Department of Musical Arts of the National University of the Arts and the Manuel de Falla Superior Conservatory of Music. He is Professor of the Diploma in Contemporary Music of the CSMMF, Professor of guitar of the Higher Cycle of the DIMA Di Arezzo Academy and Artistic Director of the Festivals 7 Noches de Cesena, Italy; Rosetto da Música, San Pancrazio, Italy; Music from Sun to Sun, Monte Hermoso, Argentina; Summer Music School and Sierra de la Ventana.
Omar Cyrulnik is also an Ambassador of Peace of the Fundación Mil Milenios de Paz/UNESCO for the artistic direction of the project Breves Músicas (Music in Buenos Aires hospitals) of the DGEArt (Government of the City of Buenos Aires, 2011).
Omar Cyrulnik’s visit is part of the international program of the Liceu Conservatory Foundation, and specifically the Collaboration Program with Ibero-America started in 2001 and in which academic and artistic activities are carried out in nine countries of the region (Colombia, Venezuela, Mexico, Cuba, Ecuador, Peru, Argentina, Chile and Brazil) that include the exchange of teachers, students and the development of joint artistic activities.
